Global K-pop fans are in mourning at the passing of artist Lee Ji-han.
On October 29, at a Halloween party in Seoul, South Korea, a crowd rush resulted in the deaths of over 150 people, including the young performer. He was 24.
The day after, Ji-agent, han’s 935 Entertainment, issued a statement confirming the unfortunate information.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the statement stated, “We are heartbroken to share such news today, but Lee Ji-han passed suddenly amid the crush in Itaewon last night.” We want to send our sincere sympathies to his family, who are devastated by the dreadful news that came out of nowhere, as well as to everyone who knew and loved him.
The agency said, “Lee Ji-han always greeted us with a cheerful smile. He was honest and upbeat.
One of the partygoers killed over the Halloween weekend was Ji-han. CNN reports that the nation has started a week-long period of mourning while officials strive to determine what caused the rise. At least 150 of the victims, according to the police, have been named.
Ji-han first gained notoriety while competing in Produce 101, a singing competition in Korea where contestants competed for a seat in a boy band. The 2019 comedy series Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day was his first foray into acting.
